I am really into the idea of going green. Unfortunately I am not so much in the green practice as I would like to be. I do recycle, but there is so much more to it if we are to make our world a better place for future generations. One of the biggest obstackles for me and I am sure many others is that going green takes a good amount of the other green. Still I am looking for the things I can do, either now or later, when god willing finances will make greater allowances.
Solar is one of my hope to do's along with non petroleum transportation. Have you heard of rhodes car? They make four wheel pedal power vehicles, with pedals for up to four people.(sorry still no free ride) They do offer electic assistance so if your not in as great of shape as you thought and you venture a little too far, you can still make the journey home. I hope to have one some day. I think it would be great transportation to and from work, at least when weather permits, and lets face it every little bit of pollution we avoid helps. I also like the idea of not giving more money to the oil barrens who insist on over-charging us to ruin the world with thier crude products. I realize I can only do so much right now,so for now i will only do so much, but I hope soon to do much more. I hope you will too.
anyone got a used electric generating windmill they would like to give me?
Doesn't hurt to ask.

Wow! I can't believe how tired I am. This has been a busy week at work and so I have not been blogging. I would Like to let everyone (or at least anybody who might care) know whats new with me. For years I have loved the Banjo. There is just something about the happy tone it produces. Steve martin does a great bit about how you can't play a sad song on the banjo. I finally bought one, kind of. What I bought is not a true banjo, but, rather a banjo guitar. It has six strings as opposed to the five on a true banjo. I am really excited. I can't wait until I can play music on it instead of just making noise.
I often will be listening to a pop or rock song and think "Man that would sound cool on a banjo." If you doubt the validity of such a statement, might I suggest you listen to, Luther Wright and the wrongs, performing Pink Floyds "The Wall" or some of the tunes done by Hayseed Dixie. Maybe I'm crazy, maybe not, but Who doesn't love to hear Dueling banjo's.
Give it a listen,meanwhile I'll keep practicing.
